I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round apart from the veneration due to its sacred name and origin, if anything belonging to it can be apart from that – as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time. ~Charles Dickens
It is hard to believe but a week from now Christmas will be winding down. The special feeling in the air on Christmas Eve will have passed. Edward will have unwrapped his Christmas gifts and hopefully like everything. (I think Santa thinks he has been a VERY good boy) The thrill of Christmas morning, the squeals of the grandkids will have ended, the mountain of wrapping paper cleaned up and we will be exhausted. It will be wonderful.
Our Christmas gifts from Rachel arrived yesterday. The box included a note that said if we laughed at her wrapping she would know and she would cry. Lol……..Edward is guessing that his is an X-Box. I told Rachel that and she said “Darn it you ruined the surprise!”
Edward is generously taking our box to the post office to ship tomorrow. Amazon did a good chunk of our deliveries but there are a few items that we are sending. There are a few gifts for us to pick up, mostly gift cards but it is going to involve one swing through the mall probably Friday night. I can say I am not looking forward to that.
Ok it’s bedtime and I’m ready to snuggle with my honey! Have a good evening!(This was from the photo booth at my Christmas party a couple of weeks ago. Ummm……most of our pictures were pretty funny mostly because Edward kept cracking me up. Sadly this was the best of all four of them. Hopefully we can get a better good Christmas picture of us this weekend to go in our ornament!)
