It’s Cold Out There

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire:  it is the time for home.  ~Edith Sitwell

Brrrrr…….Brrrrrr……..Brrrrrrrrrrr

It’s really too early for it to be this cold!   We got close to freezing at our house last night and the highs today will only be in the mid-50’s.  We even broke down and turned on the heater for a while last night!!!!  It’s hard to believe that we can go from hot to cold so fast.

But I love it!  It feels like Christmas!

This is a big week…….Edward is finishing up several of his post-surgery medications…..YAY!  So we will be back to normal pills from here on out.  He also has physical therapy three days a week now.   He is walking most of the time at home with no assistance and is able to get a little more comfortable at night.

Monday afternoon Kristina came over to the house and spent the afternoon with Edward snuggled up on the sofa and watching movies.  They watched “The Help”, took naps and ate lemon bars.  Apparently it was an excellent afternoon.

Last evening  we were both tired so we laid down after dinner for a ‘nap’ and slept for a couple of hours.  It was a nice nap but of course that meant we were up later in the evening.  I told him that he is going to get his days and nights messed up like a baby pretty soon……lol.

Other than that there isn’t much exciting going on here this week.  Oh, we did see some new pictures of the grandkids…..

That’s about it for today.   I’m ready for the weekend already!

Have a great hump day!
