If you’ve never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom, maybe your soul has never been in bloom. ~Terri GuillemetsOye am I ready for this wind to go away! It is a regular part of the weather here this time of year but it sure is tiring. Yesterdays walk turned out to be an exercise in sandblasting when I got close to the water……well, at least I got an excellent cardio workout. I couldn’t even wear my spiffy new hat because the wind blew it right off my head.
Today has been a little less breezy but the full on gale will be back tomorrow. I know we shouldn’t complain….at least it’s not snow.
So far today has been a pretty hectic day with lots to get done. I even fit in a trip to King High School to pick up Zach who was sick and take him home. I think things are finally slowing down now. 🙂 I’m home and it’s time to spend with my baby. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and all is right with the world.
Plus I’m making a shrimp boil tonight…..yummmy!
This morning before dawn Smokey was in the house resting on the rug in the kitchen. Smokey isn’t easily intimidated by Spooky and she seems a bit confused by this. Edward says that Spooky is saying ‘The force is strong with this one”. Lol. She is used to Rascal who is afraid of his own shadow and doesn’t know what to make of a little kitten standing his ground to her.
Mommacat and Spooky somehow coordinated the most entertaining attack this morning. Ever so slowly Spooky moved until she was standing in the patio door to block an escape. Even slower MommaCat crept up next to Smokey until she was close enough to tap him on the butt. He of course hissed and everyone yelled and fur flew all over the kitchen. No one actually ever exchanges blows but they sure do make a ruckus.
Maybe Smokey can run off the giant mutant opossum that scared me half to death the other night while the cats just looked on and laughed.
Have a great Wednesday.
