The Luck O’ The Irish

May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.

Happy St Patrick’s Day!!

And what a lovely morning it is.  Adjusting to the daylight savings time this year has been rough but I think I’m finally starting to adjust.  Walking this morning and getting to see the sunrise was a lovely treat.  We had a spectacular orange ball sunrise but of course I didn’t have my camera.  😦  At any rate it was a beautiful walk in a pretty lovely morning.

This is Smokey.   All of our cats came from the same house three houses or so away from us.  The people who live there get animals and then pretty much toss them outside and ignore them.  Rascal, Mommacat and Spooky all moved in with us from there.  Well, the idiot sticks got a new kitten who we have named Smokey and he found our house last week.  Mostly thanks to Lillyanna luring him here.  Now he is showing up and wanting to join in the dinner fun and get some love.

He is a purrer with a loud purr.  He is also not into sharing food….he ate that plate clean and then licked it all over.  A big change over our cats who lick the gravey off the wet food and leave the chunks.  Anyway, we can not take him in and I feel badly about it.  He just wants some love.

In some sad new I heard last night that “Cheeto his name is Naruto Mom” passed away yesterday in Colorado after a sudden illness.  He was only around 4 or 5 years old.  Rachel is devestated and Ed and I are saddened too.

This picture was from when he was still very little.  He grew up to be a big yellow tabby who loved his housemate ‘Capri’ and Rachel  very much.  RIP Cheeto….Danny will keep you company until we will see you at the Rainbow Bridge.

Sigh….ok something a little happier……I put the hummingbird feeder up last night.  Hopefully we will start to see hummingbirds any time now.  I love watching them.

Enjoy your St Patrick’s Day!
