Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home. ~Edith Sitwell
Welcome to the first day of winter! It sure doesn’t feel like it here with high temperatures around 80 but we are anticipating a cold front in time for Christmas Eve. We had some high clouds for the first part of the lunar eclipse last night but Edward was up later and said he could see the partial one as it was ending. I slept through it.
Tomorrow my daughter arrives at Corpus Christi International Airport and the holiday will officially begin! I’m very excited about Christmas! She will be home for a week and Edward and I are both taking some much needed vacation time to spend together.
Last night I started baking the sugar cookies and they turned out nicely. Edward said they taste fabulous! We also finally got the hot tub up and running for the season.
So while we are almost ready there are still tons of things to get finished tonight. It’s going to be a busy one! But after this it will be time to relax and enjoy Christmas.
We managed to oversleep a little this morning so I’m running late. Better get moving!
Have a good Tuesday.
